Support Us

Thank you for your willingness to partner with us in providing the best possible education to the children at Siena Academy. Here are answers to commonly asked questions regarding the school’s finances.

Why Give Financially?

Tuition alone does not cover the cost of a Siena Academy education. The funds received through financial giving and fundraisers are essential for filling this gap in the budget.

Why Not Just Raise Tuition?

Siena Academy does not rely totally on tuition income because this would represent a tuition increase beyond the financial means of many of our families.  The school and its finance committee seek to make our program accessible to families with a wide range of economic means.

In addition, donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law and tuition is not.

How will my gift be used?

100% of your financial donation will be used to cover Siena Academy’s operating expenses and for financial aid. The operating budget includes the following: salaries and benefits for our teachers and administrative and maintenance staff; Montessori materials and supplies for the classrooms; administrative expenses; licensing and accreditation costs; repairs and maintenance; and insurance and utilities. We are very grateful to the parish of St. Catherine of Siena for providing us with the use of the facilities and for covering major capital repairs and improvements to the building.

Is My Financial Gift Tax Deductible?

Yes.  All gifts made to the school are tax-deductible. Our tax ID is 541113798

I can only give a small amount.  Will it make a difference?

Yes, gifts of any amount are important.  It is important for us to have 100% participation from our families.  Some of our major contributors are interested in seeing broad-based support for the school.

I do not have children who attend the school.  Why should I consider giving?

Our donors give because they believe in our mission of educating the whole child with respect to his spiritual and developmental needs.  Siena Academy seeks to achieve this mission by combining an AMI recognized Montessori education with the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (Atrium). The Atriums in our school are environments dedicated to the spiritual formation of the child. The Atriums allow children (even the very young child) to listen to God, to receive God’s gifts, and to enjoy and respond to God.

Through this unique combination, the school endeavors to bring to the child to a proper understanding of God, of himself, and of the world God has created.  Our ultimate goal is for the child to have an enduring relationship with Our Lord. Our donors believe that this is the most important gift that parents and educators can give to a child.

How Can I Contribute?

Recurring contributions can be set up online through Faith Direct. Parishioners of St. Catherine of Siena Parish may choose to direct a portion of their parish tithe to the school via Faith Direct. Non-parishioners can also give via Faith Direct. We are also happy to accept monthly/recurring donations via check made out to Siena Academy. Recurring monthly donations are particularly helpful for our budgeting and planning purposes.

One-Time Donations can be made via Faith Direct or via a check made out to Siena Academy.
